The lid lifts free. The ladle drops through the notch in the rim and stays put with the lid closed, because that is how the vintage originals worked, and skipping the notch was never on the table. Feather detail runs the full sculpt, tail fan to base. Matte white, in the ironstone tradition.
Set it at the center of the Thanksgiving spread. Park it on the hutch the other eleven months. This is the kind of piece that comes out once a year and gets remembered anyway.
